Visualizing is like keeping a daily vision board for your mind’s eye. The thought behind it is to identify what you want most from your life, condense it into a few sentences using “I am” statements (as if you were already living it), and speak it into existence on a daily basis. Do this no more than a few minutes every day for creating a visualization ritual.
What’s most important with visualization is to identify the emotion that the thing you are after will give you. This is for 2 reasons:
1).We all have goals but it’s rarely the goal itself we’re after. We’re usually looking for what that goal will give us–the emotion (so if money is what you’re after, it’s usually more about what money represents to you = freedom, security, etc).
2).This keeps us from controlling the how. When we are convinced of how something will unfold, we can create blocks of energy because instead of being open to things happening in ways we cannot foresee, we are grasping tightly for it all to look a certain and specific way. We miss so much when we do this.
Lighten your grip, hold it loosely, all the while knowing what it is you’re after: Love, Security, Joy, To Be Seen, Acceptance…and then believe and watch it all unfold.
